Night at the Races Extravaganza
Let’s have a great time at this 18th at January at LA Clubhouse – Members Lounge.
We have 3 objectives:
To have a great time
To lose as much money as possible
To enjoy losing money, as it is all for good causes.
If you have never participated in an evening at the races, then you have missed out. So come and join us and we are sure you will have a great time.
We will start around 7 pm with a welcome drink whilst we explain the format of the evening ahead.
We have 8 races with 8 horses in each race, which we will watch and enjoy winning or losing. We hope we will get a Sponsor for each race, and he/she will have the opportunity to name the race i.e. The Jocks Steeplechase. We will auction 1 or 2 races where you can own the horse and, if it wins you win the owners money (50% of the total funds collected).
Most importantly, you can bet through a tote system on every race, picking your horse and, whatever we take on the race 50% will be distributed to the winners. The rest will go to the Members Fund for future events and our nominated charity.
So, hopefully you will join us and sign up.
The cost is minimal: 5€ per person to sign up and then winning or losing on your selected horses.
To make the night run smoothly, we need 5 volunteers to help us – 4 Tote collectors and 1 to start the DVDs.
The night will be a lot of fun and please, the more people that attend, the more fun and money we will have to fund both further social events and our selected charity.
