On Thursday July 14, Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club visited Cadena SER in Marbella to participate in the “GOLF A TODA COSTA” program.
The theme of the day was Golf and Environment. It was talking about the use of recycled water to irrigate golf courses, its advantages and disadvantages for grass maintenance. Cultural measures, reseeding, minimizing of the use of fertilizers and pesticides, optimizing water consumption through an irrigation system controlled by satellites and connected to a host computer, were treated during the program. All this makes the golf is not incompatible with the environment.
Also, the advantages of the presence of the golf course for wildlife and native vegetation serving as natural environment for many species were mentioned.
Los Arqueros Golf continues with the principle of prevention and minimisation of possible adverse environmental impacts.
