Tournament by Bridgestone Golf and Holiday Golf.
Magnificent and hard fought was the Andalucía Golf (Magazine) Open tournament that took place this Saturday December 14 in Los Arqueros Golf. The weather conditions were given to make the day a success. Under a sunny day 44 couples attended the call of the tournament showing their skills.
The players highlighted the excellent conditions presented by the golf course, its streets and greens, which they appreciated and manifested at the end of the tournament.
The maintenance and care of the Golf course is an essential aspect for Los Arqueros Golf. Being up to date with progress, with sustainability and the environment are undoubtedly main topics of the agenda.
The modality played was Texas Scramble in pairs, which allows players to choose the best stroke of each player and from that position to play again.
At the end of the competition players enjoyed a delicious paella made by one of the restaurants of Los Arqueros Golf: SEVES KITCHEN & BAR, followed by the prize giving and gifts of the draw. Definitely a pleasure to share in such an enveloping environment and with its wonderful views.
Holiday Golf, a distributor of golf products in southern Europe and Bridgestone were the sponsors of the tournament, along with the outstanding collaboration of Los Arqueros Golf.
The winning couples were:
First couple: 53 points – Ramón Pons Quintana and Nicolás Polit Macaya.
Second couple: 50 points – Francis Whelans and Dean Cox.
Third couple: Also with 50 points, (for the difference in handicap with the seconds) Karina Budantseva and Kripaytite Svetlan Valentinouna were placed.
Stefan Tjellander, president of Holiday Golf and Antonio Lantero, director of Los Arqueros Golf, presided over the awards ceremony. On the part of Andalucía Golf they were accompanied by Luis Navarro and Antonio Sánchez.
