Congratulations to our Captain to get his first Hole in One

According to Golf Digest the odds for an Amateur golfer getting a Hole-in-One is 12500 to 1.

Despite the statistics and after fifty years of playing golf, Club Captain Steve Bailey finally achieved the feat on February 1st with an 8 iron on the 5th Hole during the Weekly Roll-up.

It was part of an incredible week for Steve: he won the Tuesday Stableford Competition with 38 points, drove the 4th Green at 302 metres, holed in one, won the Roll-up with Alex Hartley and George Walker, won the LA Clubnight on the Friday, again with George Walker, and came second in the Amigos on the Saturday with his team of Francis Spiteri, Roseanne, and Janet Anderson.

“It was an incredible week and I would like to thank everybody for their support and kind words of congratulation” said a very humble Steve afterwards.
