On the 4th of October at 18:00 hours, we opened in our Members Lounge at the Los Arqueros Golf club house a painting exhibition of artist Joseph Evans Silva. Exhibition will last to the month end.
José Evans was born in Santiago de Cali (Valle del Cauca, Colombia). Since he was very young he studied by himself drawing and painting exploring different art techniques. He received his degree in publicity and social communication in the Academy of Professional Drawing in Cali. In 1990 he starts to study marketing in the University of Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá be he does not finish those studies as he changes to drawing and plastic arts. In 1999 he comes to live to Spain where he receives lessons from Ricardo Alario and Enar Cruz. At this moment he is preparing different projects and expositions.
“My soul has found through the colours and different textures the way to express my biography. The pictures narrate through that light, colours and forms all the little stories of my life and the scenery of my land which is hold up in my memory.
One day you realise that the forgotten magic returns through the dreams. People that have shared my life reach through my paintings a new view. Love, rage, rebellion, happiness and sadness are the tonalities that cover my canvas. Live expressed in metaphor, the language of the heart”
