    Mixed Interclub Challenge is a summer competition played between Guadalmina, Atalaya, El Paíso, La Cala, Santa María and Los Arqueros, sponsored by Inter Invest Marbella.

    Each club hosts a competition, the format being Better Ball Stableford – the 4 best scores counting as a team score.

      If the first competition promoted by Los Arqueros Restaurant (Benahavís-Marbella) was a big success, this year, their second calling demonstrated the superb support and loyalty the restaurant has achieved from their clients, who took part in a golf competition at Los Arqueros Golf, followed by a great aperitif cocktail, lunch and prize giving.

        The ladies members of Los Arqueros celebrated the Ladies’ Invitation Day inviting ladies coming from other golf courses to play a golf competition.
        It was a day of golf where the great conditions of the golf course were very much appreciated. From tee 1 members greeted their guests with a small breakfast. The lunch was served by Los Arqueros Restaurant and it was followed by the prize giving.

          The English competition was the last to close the block of golf and gastronomy weeks.
           
          The members of Los Arqueros did not want to miss this occasion to taste typical English dishes during the whole week. To end up there was an English golf competition where Christina Stauton was proclaimed the winner, followed by Karin Hesse and Peter Stauton. The three of them happen to be students of Miguel A. Jiménez, the pro of Los Arqueros.

            There are typical German dishes well-known like sausages, knuckle or cabbage and of course the nation drink, the German beer. During the whole week Los Arqueros Restaurant prepared typical German recipies and more, and during the golf competition players also enjoyed them as a tapa.

            At the German competition the modality of the game was Individual Stableford and  Inna Bladen was proclaimed winner, followed by Karin Hesse.

              The golf and gastronomy weeks at Los Arqueros started with the Swedish. It will be followed by the German, Danish and English weeks. Some will wonder if there will be any Spanish week. Of course there will be weeks focused on different regions of Spain that will conquer your palette this summer.
               
              The winners of the competition show how multicultural the competition was. In first position the Swedish Margaretha Remröd, in second position the Spanish Miguel Peña Morales and in third position Ithe Russian nna Bladen.

                Traditions start but one never knows when they finish… with these words, the deputy mayor of San Pedro Alcántara, Mr. Miguel Troyano, welcomed all participants of the II Friendship Competition that for the second consecutive year has been played between Benahavís and San Pedro Alcántara with a great cordiality and sportsmanship. The place chosen was once again Los Arqueros.

                  Circuit Andalucía Golf-APGA

                  The family Quirós wins the first positions at Los Arqueros Golf in the first competition of the Andalucía Golf Circuit on Jan. 30th and 31st. The competition had a great number of players. The golf course was in very good conditions, considering the severe and constant rain of the previous weeks. This proves the great job by the maintenance workers who gave a warm welcome to all the players.

                    In the last 20 years, Germany has experienced a great increase of golf players going from 30.000 up to approximately 300.000. Nevertheless, this numbers are surprising when we look at North America with around 26,4 million players, England with 860.000 or Sweden with 453.000.
