Fantasy Dog Show, music and dance

A magic night … where golfers at Los Arqueros Golf (Benahavís-Marbella) were not the main characters but the fashion dog show which was accompanied by music and dance.

The driving range of Los Arqueros Golf was transformed into a stage with many artists along the evening. It started with the flamenco choir “Virgen Madre” from Nueva Andalucía (Marbella). They put everything into singing, proving to have great voices and professionalism.

This performance was followed by the students of Lourdes Rodriguez’s Dancing Academy who danced a few songs of “Grease” electrifying the audience and making them want to dance too. Lourdes Rodriguez’ dancing academy has a good reserve of dancers.

The night continued with more surprises, African dances, belly dancing… and finally the dog show.  “Peludos Formación”, the groomer centre from Alhaurín el Grande, presented canine stylists with their creations. Pepi Adam, its groomer seemed very pleased with the production. On the catwalk there was originality, creativity, professionalism and hard work. The stylists received a great round of applause for the great job in their creations.

The stylists from the Junta de Andalucía official stylist course, “IACE Formación”, also took part in the dog show, presenting their creations in a carriage. Juan Morillo, their teacher was very proud with the result and the audience showed their support.

This was the first edition of the Andalusian Dog Championship of Show Class and its jury, composed by Lassie Gómez and Ulf Svendsen, had to choose a winner among all the stylists and their creations. After a hard deliberation, the winner went to Virginia Guzmán and her poodle Lupita, from “Peludos Formación”, inspired by the Paradise birds.
