Los Arqueros Golf Country Club

In the week of Aragón based on golf, food and culture, many golfers enjoyed the good conditions of Los Arqueros Golf. They also visited the cultural exhibition that took place at the members' lounge and tried the different tapas of Aragon prepared by the restaurant Los Arqueros.

The golf, culinary and cultural weeks of Spain have started with the Community of Madrid.

The members’ lounge held an exhibition about the most significant places of Madrid and worthy to be paid a visit. The comming weeks will also have cultural information about the other regions of Spain.

Golf was also present with its history, relevant clubs and the most representative golfers of previous decades.

Los Arqueros Restaurant prepared typical Madrilean tapas from original recipes where the authentic flavour was preserved.

The celebrity Kerry Katona visited Los Arqueros to film a reality show for Can TV. She showed great enthusiasm learning how to play golf and receiving lessons while the filming took place. It was for a new  series which the transmission is likely to be autumn 2010.

Los Arqueros was selected among the rest of the courses on the coast because of the good course conditions, stunning views and friendly atmosphere, which makes it ideal not only for playing but also for filming.

Semillas Dalmau, a seed company, organized a conference about their product at Los Arqueros Golf. More than 50 people among greenkeepers and gardening companies attended.

The technical aspects of the autumn overseeding was explained by the Doctor of Engineer Diego Gómez de Barrena; and the Agriculturist Alfredo Pérez Llorente arised a practical case of overseeding at Villaitana Golf.

Mixed Interclub Challenge is a summer competition played between Guadalmina, Atalaya, El Paíso, La Cala, Santa María and Los Arqueros, sponsored by Inter Invest Marbella.

Each club hosts a competition, the format being Better Ball Stableford – the 4 best scores counting as a team score.

A magic night … where golfers at Los Arqueros Golf (Benahavís-Marbella) were not the main characters but the fashion dog show which was accompanied by music and dance.

The driving range of Los Arqueros Golf was transformed into a stage with many artists along the evening. It started with the flamenco choir “Virgen Madre” from Nueva Andalucía (Marbella). They put everything into singing, proving to have great voices and professionalism.

If the first competition promoted by Los Arqueros Restaurant (Benahavís-Marbella) was a big success, this year, their second calling demonstrated the superb support and loyalty the restaurant has achieved from their clients, who took part in a golf competition at Los Arqueros Golf, followed by a great aperitif cocktail, lunch and prize giving.

GOLF COURSE IMPROVEMENTS 2010

 By resolution of the Board of Directors, the shareholders are hereby called to attend the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting to be held in the Clubhouse of Los Arqueros Golf, at Ctra. de Ronda A-397, Km 44,5, 29679 Benahavis (Málaga), on 15th June 2010, at 12 am, on first call, and at the same place and time on the following day, if applicable, on second call, having the following agenda.
